Surprise!

So as many of you may know or perhaps to all of you who have yet to know...I'm knocked up, but its officially official now, I've had the scans done and there is definitely something in my belly...the doctors aren't lying after all!

This is my first and most uneventful ultrasound ever – little blob was napping with its back to the camera, the best shot we could get was the one attached, view of the backside – ass to crown (bum left - brain right...bits of arms, and yes there are legs, was all curled up)…true “erin joly” styles – ass to the flash!

And of course I'm thinking if its mine - its definitely a rock star in the making!

So I'll try to answer as many questions as possible in one go...I'm back in Canada, but I can't say that it is or isn’t permanent yet. I’m in the process of getting my visa for residency in Oz but it takes time, without a visa I am without Oz medicare…so here I am living with the parents in Victoria, BC until a) my visa comes through, b) my medicare is approved before my visa, c) my fairy godmother waves her magic wand and fixes everything, d) my passport is renewed at the same time as a), b), and c) or e) the baby decides to come early (due December 4th, 2007)…I’m going absolutely mental with the bureaucracy, the stress, the frustration, the boyfriend, the distance, the hormones, the real life grown up decisions, the forms, the paperwork and the constant peeing.

This pregnancy is uplanned, but some of the best things in my life have been unplanned...although my mom still believes the Oz gov't is handing out sugar pills for birth control, since the increase in births over the last 2 years over there is a bazillion per cent. I blame my doctor and the pharmacist for switching my pills 3 times in four months...although one bender of a night in the Kings Cross after Lady Sovereign could have been a factor as well...
